The run-up to the festival: a time, for me, of positive associations.I look forward to the festival itself, to the people I’ll meet, to new faces and to those I haven’t seen since last June.I look forward to seeing some interesting films and unwinding at the festival restaurants.Of all the festival venues, my favourite so far is Tabačka, both the cinema and the entire space surrounding it.
Of course, the essence of the festival is art cinema, and I would hope that its visitors agree.Given the varied festival programme, I have no doubt that I’ll find something that suits me.Art Film Fest doesn’t shy away from Slovak cinema, either, and this is a connection I consider important.Slovak film is experiencing a revival, and Art Film Fest should reflect that.
