The festival’s main media partner, TV JOJ, brings to the programme of the 32nd edition of IFF Art Film Košice (19 – 25 June 2026) a colourful cross-section of its own production — from dramedy through crime to a high-school comedy — and opens its doors to viewers who want to get closer to their favourite faces.
The partnership of TV JOJ with IFF Art Film is visible from the moment one enters the festival venue: two cinema halls at the Košice Kulturpark — Kulturpark JOJ Cinema and Kulturpark JOJ play — bear the name of the festival’s main media partner. In the programme, TV JOJ then appears in several layers: as the producer of four Slovak premieres, as the organiser of the autograph session and audience-activating live shows, as a partner of the Industry programme for film professionals, as a news partner with the daily festival diary Festivalové minúty on JOJ 24 and reports from the festival highlights in Noviny TV JOJ, and last but not least as the presenter of a separate audience-voted award.

The news channel JOJ 24 is also a media partner of the 32nd edition of IFF Art Film; throughout the festival it broadcasts a dedicated programme Festivalové minúty — a daily round-up of the hottest news from Košice for TV viewers. The highlights of the festival — reports from the opening and closing ceremonies, coverage of the Actor’s Mission Award presentation and other events — will also be brought by TV JOJ in the main news programme Noviny TV JOJ. The festival thus reaches not only the cinema screen but also the television screens of households all over Slovakia.
Four series premieres under the summer sky at Záhradné kino
The strongest mark TV JOJ leaves on the festival programme are two premiere screenings of new Slovak series within the Slovak Season — always as a pair of first episodes under the stars at Záhradné kino.
The first series block will offer a combination of intimate dramedy and classic crime. Kočeny (The Chicks), directed by Ján Novák and based on a screenplay by Andy Kraus, opens the story of Jirka, whose lost sense of life is turned upside down by three women — each with her own past and hopes. In the cast of the 10-part dramedy series we meet Václav Vašák, Zuzana Mauréry, Diana Mórová, Zuzana Vačková, Barbora Švidraňová and Lucia Hurajová. It is followed by the first episode of the 8-part crime series Jednotka Jastrab (Crime Unit Hawk). Director Jiří Chlumský, working from a screenplay by Roman Olekšák and Valeria Schulczová, follows a special target-search police unit on the trail of people on the run. Lead roles are played by Milan Ondrík, Sarah Havačová, Helena Krajčiová, Daniel Fischer and Adrian Jastraban.

The second block offers the young generation and a comedy about love after forty. Sexta, directed by Adam Sedlák and Jan Hřebejk from a screenplay by Petr Kolečko, brings an authentic look at students, teachers and parents in the daily struggle for recognition and a place in the world. The forty-minute first part of the 26-part family series brings together Tomáš Sean Pšenička, Eliška Panáčková, Zuzana Krónerová and Vica Kerekes. It is followed by the comedy series Najvyšší čas (About Time) about looking for true love via a dating app — directed by Lukáš Zednikovič, with a screenplay by Dominika Kavaschová and Katarína Mikulíková and lead roles in the 12-part series played by Dominika Kavaschová, Zuzana Porubjaková, Juraj Kemka and others.

Industry: behind the scenes of the series Kočeny
For the professional part of the festival audience, TV JOJ has prepared a presentation of the series Kočeny within ART FILM INDUSTRY. Director Ján Novák, screenwriter Andy Kraus and producer Rado Štefanov will speak about the series and the production behind it.

Three evenings at the Historic Town Hall: SEDEM, autograph session and Bez šepkára
The second arc of the TV JOJ programme will animate the heart of the city — the Historic Town Hall on Hlavná Street. The TV JOJ Autograph Session is a tradition that every year draws hundreds of Košice locals and visitors to the city; this year actors and presenters will meet at one table, including Marián Mitaš, Elena Vacvalová, Marián Leško, Ivan Krúpa, Michal Szatmary, Matej Adámy, Tomáš Hudák and more than thirty other faces of the channel. Autographs, group photos and live encounters — admission free.

On the same evening, the hall of the Historic Town Hall will remain full. The commentary line-up of the popular TV JOJ show Sedem comes live to its fans — viewers can look forward to journalist Marián Leško and stand-up comedians Matej Adámy, Michal Szatmary and Tomáš Hudák, and of course presenter Elena Vacvalová.

The peak of the live programme arrives on Monday evening. Bez šepkára — the talk show of Milan Kolcun in a special edition for IFF Art Film — combines Kolcun’s humour and the journalistic depth of Peter Béreš with guests from behind the television scenes. Audiences can look forward to actor Marián Mitaš and screenwriter, actor and director Andy Kraus (the series Kočeny). Brisk dialogues with personalities will alternate with witty observations about Košice that have made the talk show a cult format.

For the youngest and a look behind the scenes for everyone
TV JOJ will win over the youngest viewers through its children’s sister channel TV Jojko. The musical show Mojko a Kajka brings the little bear with a heart on his cheek and the brave little girl Kajka in a story about helping a friend fulfil his dream — a concert. The 60-minute show runs in Slovak and is presented by Slovakia’s most-watched children’s channel.

The festival also becomes a gallery. The TV JOJ Photo Exhibition presents the work of three of the channel’s photographers — Stana Topolská, Maroš Ďatko and Matúš Barta. Their lenses capture both the action on the set during the production of series and films, and the focused atmosphere of the studio where portraits of actors and presenters or image photographs for advertising are created. The exhibition will be open in the open-air at Kulturpark throughout the festival — from 19 to 25 June.
JOJ Cinema Audience Award: vote for your favourite film of the festival
The main audience activation of TV JOJ this year is a dedicated JOJ Cinema Audience Award for the best feature-length film of the 32nd edition. Voting takes place directly at aff.cinepass.sk from 19 June to 24 June 2026 (until 12:00) and every festival visitor can take part. The winning film will be announced at the official results ceremony on Wednesday 24 June. The winner — randomly drawn from the voters — receives a EUR 250 voucher for the purchase of flight tickets from Košice Airport and a package of TV JOJ memorabilia.
