This year, the International Feature Film Competition at IFF Art Film is in the hands of three outstanding filmmakers whose careers transcend genre and geography. The jury that will decide the winners embodies documentary sensitivity, essayistic insight, and dramaturgical maturity.

Hungarian director Glória Halász explores themes at the intersection of reality and fantasy in her award-winning documentaries – from women’s stories and war to the world of contemporary circus. Her films have been showcased at festivals worldwide, and she is currently preparing her first fiction feature.
Marko Škop
Slovak director and producer Marko Škop gained international recognition for works such as Osadné, Eva Nová, and Let There Be Light. His signature style combines social engagement with an intimate focus on characters. As a co-producer, he has also been involved in numerous significant works of Central European cinema.
Alexandre O. Philippe
American director Alexandre O. Philippe is known as a cinematic essayist. In films like 78/52 or Memory: The Origins of Alien, he dissects iconic moments in global film history. His latest work, Chain Reactions, received an award at the Venice Film Festival, confirming his exceptional position in the field of film scholarship.
