Jury No. 4 at the IFF ART FILM 2025 – FIPRESCI Jury

It has been a tradition that the Art Film festival always hosts three international juries composed of film professionals. However, Art Film will begin its fourth decade of existence by inviting a special fourth FIPRESCI jury.

FIPRESCI stands for the International Federation of Film Critics. An independent jury with this status is made up of members of this organisation and participates in film festivals around the world. Its task is to select and award films which, according to critics, that stand out from the artistic, technical or content perspective. The FIPRESCI jury is usually made up of international film critics, journalists and film experts who evaluate the films in the festival’s official competitions. The award, which is presented by FIPRESCI, is considered one of the most prestigious film making awards.

The juries of the International Competition of Feature Films, the International Competition of Central and Eastern European Films and the International Competition of Short Films will traditionally present the Blue Angel award to exceptional films and to female filmmakers in their respective categories at the Art Film Festival. The FIPRESCI jury will evaluate a separate selection of films, which will add a new award for films that bring an original creative approach, artistic quality and innovation.
