Judging by current developments and prognoses, it seems that the coronavirus pandemic is not going to subside as quickly as we had hoped only days ago. The protective measures adopted to prevent its spread will be a part of our lives for the coming weeks, if not months.
And though we expect that by late June the pandemic will be well on the decline, we have decided, so as not to put your health or that of the greater public at risk, that the 28th edition of the festival will not be held on the originally announced dates of 19–27 June 2020.
In cooperation with our partners in Košice, we are currently seeking a suitable alternative date for the festival. Rest assured, as soon as we find such a date and the situation has stabilized, we will inform you via announcements on our website and social media accounts.
Thank you for understanding; in the meantime, we urge you to follow the directives and recommendations of public health agencies. That way, we can all contribute to stopping the virus’s spread, bringing us closer to the day when we can return to the cinema and enjoy great films together.
