As a supporter of Slovak cinema, Zlatý Bažant is currently implementing several successful projects, among them being Art Film Fest and sponsorship of the Slovak Season section. “The philosophy of the Zlatý Bažant brand is to support popular Slovak film production in the long term. Our participation in Art Film Fest, the Bažant Cinematograph project and our latest project as a Slovak Film Partner are an important part of our goals in this area,” said Zuzana Putalová, brand manager of Zlatý Bažant.
The Bažant Cinematograph at Art Film Fest
As part of Art Film Fest, Zlatý Bažant will also provide the popular Bažant Cinematograph, an open-air presentation of primarily Slovak films. Last year a record 54 300 viewers attended the Bažant Cinematograph’s screenings. In the Bažant Cinematograph’s programme this year, audiences can look forward to pictures such as the Slovak film Pokoj v duši (Soul at Peace), the audience favourite Líbaš jako bůh (You Kiss Like a God) starring the brilliant Kamila Magálová and Kawasakiho ruze (Kawasaki’s Rose), which earned legendary Slovak actor Ladislav Chudík a Czech Lion award. In addition to five feature films, audiences will get to see several animated projects as well. And this year the Bažant Cinematograph will also screen titles especially for Art Film Fest.
Slovak Film Partner
This year Zlatý Bažant is supplementing its activities in support of Slovak cinema with a new project entitled Slovak Film Partner, in cooperation with the Slovak Film and Television Academy and TV JOJ. The goal of this project is to assist Slovak film production and its distribution.
