Fans of the art of film can once again look forward to three competition sections (International Competition of Feature Films, International Competition of Short Films, International Competition of Central and Eastern European Films) and more than ten non-competition sections of the ART FILM IFF. Organizers anticipate that more than 130 films will be screened this year during the Festival.
In all competition sections, the Blue Angel Award will be given to the best film. This award also comes with a financial bonus. The International Competition of Feature Films is intended for films by directors who have just shot their first, second or third film. In this category, awards are also given for the director, as well as the best female and male actors. The International Competition of Short Films is without limitation in terms of type (it can be fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.). The only limitation is the length – no more than 30 minutes. The International Competition of Films from Central and Eastern Europe is intended for filmmakers of feature films from a selected group of countries, without distinction as to the type of film or the order of the film in the director’s filmography.
Submissions are open from 1 December 2024 and filmmakers can submit their film using the form on the website: https://iffartfilm.com/en/submit-film/
