The attendance level of Art Film Fest’s first weekend reached nearly half that of last year’s entire festival. “I must confess that when I first heard the attendance numbers for Saturday, I didn’t believe them. When I was at Artfilm last, two years ago, I went through the cinemas in Trenčianske Teplice and Trenčín at the weekend, and there were very few people. And now, in the first two days, we’ve got nearly half of last year’s entire attendance. That’s a great number,” said Art Film Fest’s programme director Peter Nágel. “I’ve striven to assemble the programme according to my strongest convictions, but programming films is always a gamble. Of course, it’s very pleasant to see a full cinema on Sunday in Trenčianske Teplice,” he added.
