The jury presented the Best Actor award to <strong>Arif Jakup<\/strong>. <em>\u201cA young, promising actor who has fully mastered his craft, he stood out in the film with charm and sincerity and convinced us of love\u2019s power to transform a cynical world. With great enthusiasm we present the Blue Angel for Best Actor to Arif Jakup for DJ Ahmet,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Gloria Halasz<\/strong>, a member of the International Competition of Feature Films jury, when handing over the prize.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"IFF AF 25 | Arif Jakup\" width=\"1220\" height=\"686\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/soNfRSdCko0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"690\"><strong>Is this your first time in Slovakia?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"690\"><em>Yes, it\u2019s my first.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"690\"><strong>What do you think of Ko\u0161ice?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"690\"><em>It\u2019s a small city, but a very beautiful one. I had the chance to see a few historic landmarks. I walked around the city and I really like it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1082\"><strong>How would you rate tonight?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1082\"><em>This is the first award I\u2019ve ever received, and I\u2019d actually prepared a mini speech, but when I got up on stage I forgot it. Still, I managed, and in that rush of happiness I improvised.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1082\"><strong>You say it was your first award. Was it also your first major film role?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1082\"><em>Yes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1436\"><strong>What led you to acting?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1436\"><em>I\u2019m studying acting in high school\u2014I\u2019m in my second year. I auditioned for DJ Ahmet along with 1,300 applicants and made it into the final two. They told me I\u2019d get an answer in two weeks, and when the casting manager called me, I was stunned.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1800\"><strong>Did the film change your life?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1800\"><em>Yes, it changed my life a lot, because I\u2019m basically a footballer. I love football and play it, so acting has now been added. I\u2019m caught between two goalposts, but I try to divide my time equally. Right now, acting will probably win. I still have two years of school left and I\u2019d like to pursue this career even after university.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1883\"><strong>I trust you\u2019re not filming on the pitch when you\u2019re playing football.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1883\"><em>(Laughs.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1885\" data-end=\"2105\"><strong><em data-start=\"1885\" data-end=\"1895\">DJ Ahmet<\/em> won three awards at IFF Art Film 2025. Did you expect such success?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1885\" data-end=\"2105\"><em>Our director told me, \u201cYou\u2019ll get that award.\u201d But he didn\u2019t say there\u2019d be three. When we went up on stage, it was a huge surprise for me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2215\"><strong>The film is called <em data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2136\">DJ Ahmet<\/em>.
