A three-member jury of film professionals will decide on the quality of the feature films in the International Competition of Feature Films. The jury will present the prestigious Blue Angel award to the best film, the best director and the best actor.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Normlny1\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The first jury member of the International Competition of Feature Films at ART FILM 2025 will be <b>Gl\u00f3ria Hal\u00e1sz<\/b>, a Hungarian producer and author of award-winning feature documentaries, which often focus on artists, dancers and theatre people. After graduating in Film and Media Studies at E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University in Budapest, the director began to explore the interconnectedness of art with the life of the common folk and contemporary social issues in her work. The author focuses on the mutual influence of these spheres. Gloria Hal\u00e1sz&#8217;s films with great international acclaim include <i>Circus Siblings<\/i>, about a group of circus art students whose studies in Kiev are disrupted first by the coronavirus pandemic and later by the Russian-Ukrainian war. The director&#8217;s film <i>Rupa&#8217;s Boutique<\/i>, about fashion design and acid attacks on women in India, has won a total of five awards at international festivals. Gl\u00f3ria Hal\u00e1sz has been a member of juries at film festivals both in Hungary and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Normlny1\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Born in Geneve, <b>Alexandre O. Philippe<\/b> , the second member of the international jury at the upcoming 31<sup>st<\/sup> ART FILM festival, has become famous for his film analyses of iconic pop culture works that changed the history of cinema. His documentary work has previously explored the global phenomenon of <i>Star Wars<\/i> in <i>The People vs. George Lucas<\/i>, the famous sci-fi horror series <i>Alien<\/i> in the documentary <i>Memory:<\/i><i> The Origins of Alien<\/i> and in the film <i>78\/52<\/i>, he analysed the famous shower murder scene in Hitchcock&#8217;s masterpiece <i>Psycho<\/i>, with the participation of various film experts. Alexandre O. Philippe was a member of the jury at both the London Film Festival and the Rome International Film Festival. In 2024, he received the Venezia Classici Award at the Venice IFF for his documentary <i>Chain Reactions<\/i> about the cult film <i>The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"Normlny1\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The jury, which will decide on the prestigious <i>Blue Angel<\/i> award, will be completed by Slovak director, screenwriter and producer <b>Marko \u0160kop<\/b>, known for his successful documentaries <i>Other Worlds<\/i> and <i>Osadn\u00e9<\/i>, as well as his award-winning feature films <i>Eva Nov\u00e1<\/i> and<i> Let There Be Light<\/i>.
