In the past, this award was presented to acting legends such as Zden\u011bk Sv\u011br\u00e1k and Zuzana Kronerov\u00e1, as well as world stars such as Claudia Cardinale and Geraldine Chaplin. This year, the prominent Czech film, television and theatre actress <\/span><b>Daniela Kol\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will join the acting legends of international and Slovak cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Czech actress Daniela Kol\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1 is one of the stable stars of Czechoslovak cinematography. There is no doubt about her creative contribution in the field of film art. She has appeared permanently and incessantly on silver screen and television screen since 1965. She has created a number of unforgettable character roles, thanks to which she gained admiration and attention from many viewers across the former Czechoslovakia. It is an honour for Art Film to welcome such a significant actor to the festival and to award her the honorary Actor&#8217;s Mission award for her exceptional contribution to film<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; says the festival&#8217;s art director <\/span><b>Martin Pal\u00fach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her best films she appeared alongside Jarom\u00edr Hanzl\u00edk in A Night at Karlstein (1973), with Zden\u011bk Sv\u011br\u00e1k in Seclusion Near A Forest (1976) and Empties (2007), with Old\u0159ich Kaiser in Meeting in July (1978) and with Josef Abrah\u00e1m in Ball Lightning (1978). Her performances in popular series of that period such as The Saleswoman <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1977)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or in the cult series <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hospital at the End of the City<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1977\u20131981) <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are unforgettable as well. Together with the previous laureates of the Actor&#8217;s Mission award &#8211; Iva Jan\u017eurov\u00e1, Ji\u0159ina Bohdalov\u00e1 and Jana Brejchov\u00e1 &#8211; Daniela Kol\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1 belongs to the most popular generation of Czech actresses to this day<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; added <\/span><b>Martin Pal\u00fach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to film and television acting, she worked for many years at Vinohrady Theatre, where she portrayed many distinctive theatre characters. For her performance in Thomas Bernhard&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am Ziel<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Prague Comedy Theatre, she won the Alfr\u00e9d Radok Award for her portrayal of a mother at the end of March 2005. She also performed at Na z\u00e1bradl\u00ed Theatre, \u0160vandovo Theatre and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Film fans can meet Daniela Kol\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1 in Ko\u0161ice in June during the 31<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">edition of the IFF Art Film, where she will receive the Actor&#8217;s Mission award.
