The chair of this year&#8217;s jury is Canadian director Atom Egoyan. The film has recently received the Slovak national Sun in a Net award for Best Short Fiction Film, and at Art Film Fest it will be featured in the International Competition of Short Films.<\/div>\n<div>\tThe next significant nomination went to \u013dubom\u00edr Mihailo Kocka for The <b>Lunch Box<\/b>, a tale of loneliness, sorrow and the unforgiving cycle of life which was among the nominees for this year&#8217;s <b>Student Oscar<\/b>, representing Savannah College of Art and Design. Kocka debuted in 2008 with the short film The Honest Shepherd, and last year he won the student&#8217;s award at the Palm Springs International ShortFest for The Lunch Box.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\tQuestions of life and death are addressed by <b>The Father<\/b>, director Luk\u00e1\u0161 Hanul\u00e1k\u2019s thesis film at Bratislava&#8217;s Academy of Performing Arts.
