"When we left for Cannes, the 18th Art Film Fest\u2019s programme was practically settled. My colleagues and I came here with three goals: <\/a>First of all, to meet with the representatives of a few more still-unconfirmed titles to make the final arrangements with them. To attend Cannes is virtually obligatory for every film professional and film-festival organizer, because it is here where the entire contemporary film world essentially represents itself. And in the end, if we manage to bring back some films from this prestigious exhibition as well, I’ll call it an unplanned but more-than-welcome added bonus to this year’s programme.\u201d     <\/a>Art Film Fest\u2019s bountiful programme already includes a great deal of fascinating titles, which the programming team has hand-picked from the most prestigious festivals and exhibitions, such as Clermont-Ferrand<\/b>, the world\u2018s most distinguished short-film festival, Cottbus<\/b>, the most prominent Eastern European film festival, Rotterdam<\/b>, which features a selection of independent, innovative and experimental cinema from around the world, Sundance<\/b>, the United States\u2018 premiere independent film festival, San Sebastian<\/b>, the most important festival in the Spanish-speaking world, Budapest\u2018s Hungarian Film Week<\/b>, <\/b>and of course the Berlinale<\/b>, one of the most significant festivals in the world.   <\/p>\n
