The eighteenth edition has once again set several records \u2013 whether it be its number of screened films or overall number of screenings. In the <b>programme\u2019s thirteen sections<\/b>, audiences will see <b>239 films <\/b>from <b>forty-eight countries<\/b>, with <b>eleven Slovak films <\/b>among them. Another unique feature of this year\u2019s festival is the increased number of film-industry guests who will personally introduce their films. This is precisely how Art Film Fest has built up its reputation over the years as one of the most significant cultural events in Slovakia. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The programme will also include the granting of three Actor&#8217;s Mission Awards for exceptional acting merit. This year\u2019s recipients will be <b>Josef Abrh\u00e1m<\/b>, <b>Milan K\u0148a\u017eko<\/b> and&nbsp;<b>G\u00e9rard Depardieu<\/b>.<\/span> Cinematographers are also recognized every year with the Golden Camera Award, which this year will go to <b>V\u00e1clav Vorl\u00ed\u010dek <\/b>and <b>Stanislav Szomol\u00e1nyi<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Tatra Banka Cinema Tent will be home to films such as <b><i>I Love You Philip Morris<\/i><\/b> starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, two Australian films: <b><i>Red Hill <\/i><\/b>from director <\/span>Patrick Hughes and Joel Anderson\u2019s <b><i>Lake Mungo<\/i><\/b>, the German-Cambodian film <b><i>Same Same But Different<\/i><\/b> and the co-produced films <b><i>Undertow <\/i><\/b>and <b><i>Gigante<\/i><\/b>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p class=\"align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">As Peter N\u00e1gel, Art Film Fest\u2019s director explains: \u201cThe crowning glory of the 18<sup>th<\/sup> Art Film Fest\u2019s record number of screenings will be the Tatra Banka Cinema Tent\u2019s surprise film presentation, which on 26 June will be introduced by the festival&#8217;s most auspicious guest \u2013 the legendary French actor G\u00e9rard Depardieu.\u201d <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Tatra Banka is also Art Film Fest\u2019s leading sponsor, as a part of their strategy to support the arts and education.
