<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span>alluding to vase\u2019s bottle-like shape.<span lang=\"EN-US\"> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">But in the presence of Tren\u010d\u00edn&#8217;s mayor, he admitted that he himself might end up in a similar post,<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">referring to Icelandic comic J\u00f3n Gnarr, who recently became mayor of Reykjav\u00edk, and his satirical &quot;Best Party&quot;, a political party that began as a reaction to Iceland&#8217;s major financial crisis, which negatively affected the film industry as well.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> <\/span><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cIf the situation doesn&#8217;t improve, maybe I&#8217;ll end up as a mayor too,&quot; <\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span>said Fridriksson, who has always strived to support Icelandic cinema through every possible means.<span lang=\"EN-GB\">&nbsp; <\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding: 5px;
